On September 13th, 2024 international conference on vocational education was held at Taihu International Expo Center. The conference was jointly guided by the Wuxi Municipal People's Government, the German Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Action (formerly the German Ministry of Economy and Energy), the German Embassy in China and supported by the Wuxi Municipal Education Bureau and the Wuxi Economic Development Zone Management Committee.
The conference discussed intelligent manufacturing, artificial intelligence, new energy vehicles, semiconductors and other related fields, and the participants jointly explored effective ways to combine the leading foreign vocational education system with localization.
WXIT won the Typical School of Vocational Education Exchange and Cooperation award, and WXIT President Zhou Guijin won the Outstanding Contribution Award of Vocational Education Foreign Exchange and Cooperation, Vice President Wu Huiyuan won the Outstanding Educator of Vocational Education Foreign Exchange and Cooperation, and the international case of WXIT was selected as the 2024 Outstanding case of vocational education cooperation.
It was reported that this forum is divided into a main forum and subject-specific sub-forums. Centered around Wuxi's construction of a National Important Talent Center and Innovation High-Ground and WXIT's goal of building a World-Class University, the forum aims to establish a long-term high-level cooperation and exchange platform for outstanding young talents at home and abroad. It gathers high-quality innovative resources to provide intellectual resources and talent support for the comprehensive revitalization.
