On September 19th, the Opening Ceremony and Orientation Seminar for the 2024 international students was held in the Chongde Hall. 27 international students from Yogyakarta State University, Jakarta Global University, as well as Maria Fatimah school in Indonesia participated the ceremony. They gathered at WXIT, crossing mountains and seas, filled with hope and expectations, to embark on a new chapter of their academic journey.
Li Xiang, Party secretary of school of international education, Jiang Hong cheng, vice dean of school of international education as well as teacher representatives attended the ceremony and showed warmly welcome to international students. Li Xiang, on behalf of the College of International Cultural Exchange, delivered a speech and Dean Zhang Chao delivered a welcome speech, offering a detailed introduction to the history of WXIT. She also elaborated on the teaching and research achievements, faculty strength, and international collaborations. Teacher representative Zhao Yue and Yuan Chen gave presentations on teaching, academic affairs, and student management regulations. In conclusion, teacher representatives encouraged the 2024 international students to engage actively in their studies and research, and wished them success in their academic endeavors.
