Wuxi's public transportation system consists of subways, buses, taxis and trains. With transportation cards, you will have access to most of public transport means.
1. Transportation Card
The transportation card is very useful, we strongly recommend you to have one. It can be used for subways, buses, taxis and ferries in all cities in Jiangsu Province, 40% discount off for the buses, 5% discount off for the metro system. 2.Subway
Wuxi subway is very convenient and fast, and the routes are still increasing.
The cost of one ride is 3-6 yuan, depending on the length of your journey. The nearest subway station to the Binhu Campus of Wuxi Institute of Technology is Jiangnan University Station
From Monday to Friday, the subway will be very crowded at 7:00-10:30 and 16:00-19:00 (rush hour). Please choose your travel time accordingly and be safe.
3. Bus
There are bus lines everywhere in Wuxi, usually costs 2 yuan for one trip. You can use Baidu map to navigate the specific trip in advance. You can also use the Wuxi Micro Bus WeChat applet to inquire about specific routes. Jiangnan University & Wuxi Institute of Technology is the nearest bus stop to the south gate of the campus, where you can take buses No. 77, 95, 151, 160 and 395.
4. Taxi
The taxi starts at 10 yuan during the day and covers 3 kilometers (including the gas fee). After 3 kilometers, if it is within 10 kilometers, 2 yuan per kilometer will be charged; if it is more than 10 kilometers, 3 yuan per kilometer will be charged.

-Take a taxi (around 46 yuan, roughly 30 minutes)
-Take a shared bicycle to Jiangnan University subway station and take Line 1 to Wuxi Station (about 1 hour).
(II) Wuxi East Railway Station
Address: Ying 'an Road, Xishan District, Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province
From Wuxi Institute of Technology to Wuxi East Railway Station:
-Taxi (about 79 yuan, roughly 55 minutes)
-Take No. 95 bus to Liangxi Road (Qingqi Road) Station and then take Line 2 (subway) to Wuxi East Station (It takes roughly1 hour and 40 minutes for the whole trip)
