In November, the first skill competition of vocational college students was hold in Shandong Weihai. This competition was initiated by Shanghai Cooperative Organization and hosted by provincial government and ministry of education in Shandong Province. 1211 students from 30 countries participated in 13 programs of this competition such as Mobile Robot, Mechanical CAD, and Automobile Technology. WXIT International students stood out in the fierce competition and won the first prizes in 3 programs.
The mission of skill Competition on different programs is to promote higher vocational education and to encourage students to use creative thinking skills to solve engineering problems. Under the guidance of WXIT faculties, Indonesia student Gusti Tata Sadewa won the first prize in CAD Mechanical Design; Malaysia student Lau Xu qing and Tie Tung wan won the first prizes in Automobile Technology.
This skill competition is open for all students worldwide, and WXIT encourages the participation of any student in any major including International students as long as they are creative, interested in mechanics and designing things, and eager to learn new technologies. WXIT will continue to promote the development of professional and International education to meet the demand of multilingual professionals in the new area of “ The Belt of Road”.
