On October 16th and 17th , the 4th International Academic Conference in Tourism and Hospitality was held in Wuxi. The conference was hosted by Indonesian Universities as well as Wuxi International Communication Association and it was undertaken by WXIT. 145 Delegates from Indonesia, Malaysia and Swiss colleges gathered together to make further discussion over hot issues in the field of Tourism and Hospitality. Indonesia Ambassador to China Mr. Sugeng Rahardjo and Secretary-General of China-ASEAN Center Mrs Yang Xiuping attended the conference.
WXIT President Mr. Gong Fanghong hosted the opening ceremony. During the conference, WXIT Party Secretary Mr. Zhu Aisheng welcomed all the participants and introduced the development of Wuxi and WXIT. Indonesia Ambassador to China Mr. Sugeng and several delegates from Indonesia colleges gave speeches respectively. After that, “China-Indonesia Tourism and Hospitality Research Center” was established. Leaders from both sides joined in the signing ceremony. Based on this, a series of seminars will be held regularly for academic and hot issues. This International Conference, which was undertaken by WXIT, has set up a platform for the in-depth cooperation of countries along the Belt and Road.
