From October 20 to 26, Yang Xueqin, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Party Committee of Wuxi University of Technology (WXUT), led a delegation on an official visit to Malaysia and Indonesia, joined by heads of the university's Office of International Exchange and Cooperation, School of Mechanical Engineering, School of Internet of Things Engineering, and School of Management.
During the visit, the delegation held discussions with government agencies, universities and enterprises including the Malaysia Technical Expert Committee, PSA Polytechnic Malaysia, Karawang University in Indonesia, SANY Indonesia Manufacturing Co., Ltd., and Jakarta Global University, covering vocational education standard certification, joint talent training, co-development of curricula, and corporate-academia collaboration in going global.
Malaysia: Standard Recognition and Institutional Exchange
In Malaysia, the delegation first met with the Malaysia Technical Expert Committee. Yang introduced WXUT's educational strengths and talent training advantages, proposing to use professional standards and certification as a bridge to align its programs, curricula and teaching resources with Malaysia's technical and vocational skills certification system. The two sides exchanged views on aligning vocational skills standards, seeking international certification of curricula, building a "Chinese Plus Vocational Skills" training and certification system, and technical expert accreditation. Ms. Nur Sakina Binti Ishak, head of the committee, welcomed the delegation and expressed support for WXUT's participation in the development and accreditation of Malaysia's vocational education standards, offering a channel for the university's high-quality teaching resources to take root in Malaysia.
The delegation then visited PSA Polytechnic Malaysia, where President Azman Bin Arshad received the delegation. Both sides shared their educational foundations, program portfolios, training facilities and international cooperation achievements, and discussed joint talent training, co-development of curricula, two-way exchanges of faculty and students, and the shared building and use of training bases.

Together with Rootcloud Technology Co., Ltd., the three parties signed a trilateral memorandum of understanding, pledging to leverage their academic and industrial resources to jointly cultivate high-caliber technical talent suited to local industrial needs.
The delegation then visited SANY Indonesia Manufacturing Co., Ltd., hosted by General Manager Ding Shifeng. After touring the SANY Heavy Industry Lighthouse Factory in Indonesia, the delegation gained first-hand insight into SANY's local operations, its employees' skills training needs and localized workforce development. The two sides discussed order-based talent training, upskilling programs for local staff, and overseas internship and training bases.
At the SANY Indonesia Global Training Center, Yang Xueqin, together with Chen Lifeng, General Manager of Rootcloud's Education Business Division, and Joko Setio Widodo, President of Jakarta Global University, signed a memorandum of understanding to jointly establish the Zheng He College and unveiled the college.
