On the afternoon of September 14, a delegation led by Rector Nurhaidi of Sunan Kalijaga State Islamic University Yogyakarta, Indonesia, visited Wuxi University of Technology (WXUT) for exchange and cooperation talks. WXUT President Zhou Guijin, Vice President Xi Maolong, and heads of the Office of International Exchange and Cooperation and the School of Finance and Economics attended the meeting.
During the talks, President Zhou Guijin extended a warm welcome to the delegation and reviewed the history of cooperation between the two institutions. He expressed the hope that, building on the solid foundation already in place, both sides would continue the strong momentum of mutual learning and joint talent cultivation, deepen practical cooperation and broaden its scope, and work together to build distinctive international education programs.
Rector Nurhaidi expressed his gratitude for WXUT's warm hospitality and spoke highly of the results of the joint talent cultivation programs between the two universities. He noted that the on-site visit had deepened his understanding of WXUT, and pledged to keep advancing the joint cultivation of highly skilled international technical talents for the mutual benefit of both institutions.
Vice President Xi Maolong then briefed the delegation on WXUT's development history, educational achievements and internationalization efforts. The two sides reached consensus on strengthening teacher-student exchanges and short-term study programs in finance and economics, furthering joint degree programs, and exploring new areas of cooperation, including joint curriculum development, faculty exchanges, research collaboration and school-enterprise collaborative education.
During the visit, the delegation toured the Intelligent Manufacturing Engineering Center, the Public Virtual Simulation Training Center, the Mechanical Manufacturing Engineering Training Center, and the training center of the School of Automotive and Transportation Engineering, gaining first-hand insight into WXUT's distinctive strengths in industry-education integration and research innovation.
