Mayor of Frankston, Australia Visits WXUT for Academic Exchange

On September 30, 2025, a delegation led by Chris Boleham, Mayor of Frankston, Australia, visited WXUT for an exchange visit. The event was attended by Gong Fanghong, Party Secretary of the university, Wu Huiyuan, Vice President, and relevant officials from the International Exchange Office.

During the symposium, Secretary Gong Fanghong extended a warm welcome to Mayor Boleham and his delegation. He provided a detailed overview of WXUT's development history, educational achievements, internationalization initiatives, and collaborative education programs with Australian institutions.

In response, Mayor Boleham expressed gratitude for the warm reception and highly commended WXUT's academic excellence. He emphasized his commitment to promoting inter-university exchanges and cooperation upon his return to Australia, aiming to jointly cultivate globally competent technical talents and foster mutually beneficial development.

The delegation also toured the Intelligent Manufacturing Engineering Center and the Training Center of the College of Automotive and Transportation Engineering, gaining first-hand insights into WXUT's advancements in industry-education integration and research innovation.

This visit marks a significant step in strengthening educational ties between Frankston and our university, laying a solid foundation for future collaborative projects in talent development and academic exchange.
