On September 19th, the "New Ventures Overseas, New Vocational Education, New Youth" Work Conference of the Vocational Education Internationalization Consortium and International Talent Cultivation Seminar was held in Nantong. Over 100 experts from the education sector and industry-education integration enterprises gathered to explore new pathways for internationally oriented vocational education with Chinese characteristics.
Representing WXUT, Jiang Hongcheng, Deputy Director of the International Exchange and Cooperation Office, attended as a delegate of the consortium's governing board. He actively participated in discussions on consortium affairs and development planning.
The conference featured two key initiatives: the "Zheng He Institute in Namibia" project, which has already launched four programs including Architectural Engineering Technology and IOT Application Technology, with plans to expand into business, engineering, and healthcare disciplines to support localized talent development in Africa. Additionally, "China Civil Engineering Overseas Engineering Practice Training Center" was unveiled to strengthen practical training platforms aligned with global industry needs.
Established in 2024, the Vocational Education Internationalization Consortium has united 85 members across 18 professional categories, creating a collaborative model integrating educational institutions, central enterprises, tech companies, and international partners. This alliance facilitates curriculum resource sharing, overseas project cooperation, digital teaching support, and localized market demand, advancing Chinese vocational education from initial international exploration to deep-rooted localization and symbiotic development.
As a governing board member, WXUT leverages the consortium's platform to innovate international talent cultivation models, share development insights, and promote industry-education integration. We remain committed to driving Chinese vocational education to "go global, gain recognition, and earn respect," contributing to the high-level development of vocational education opening-up.
