On October 22, the 22nd China Annual Conference for International Education & Expo (CACIE) was held at Beijing International Convention Center. Mr. Liu Limin, president of China Education Association for International Exchange presided over the opening ceremony. Huai Jinpeng, party secretary and minister of the Ministry of Education, Susan Acland-Hood, permanent secretary Department for Education, Chan Chun Sing, minister for Education of Singapore, Stefania Giannini, assistant director-general for Education of UNESCO, delivered keynote speeches at the opening ceremony. President Gong Fanghong was invited to attended the Conference and made keynote reports at two forums.

As the only higher vocational institute member of the Belt and Road Education Action Promotion Committee, President Gong Fanghong was invited by Fudan University to make a keynote speech themed on Setting New Benchmark for the Internationalization of Vocational Education and Facilitating the High Quality Development of BRI at the Seminar on High Quality Development of BRI Educational International Exchange. Starting from cultivating internationalized talents, he proposed the path for internationalization including introduction, internalization, creation and exportation. He also shared the successful cases of our institute in promoting educational services for foreign students and enhancing mutual understanding guided by the BRI, which have fully demonstrated the quality of education for foreign students, our achievements in international education endeavor, and our footprints in internationalization.

At another seminar on China-foreign joint running higher vocational institutes, President Gong Fanghong made a special report on Improving the Quality of Internationalized Talents by Matching the International Standards and Allocating High-quality Resources. He introduced the development path of Ireland School, a China-foreign joint running school with non-independent legal person status. He shared our experience in matching with international engineers certification standard, building high-quality international scientific research cooperation platform and cultivating high-standard technical talents with international horizon. Later at the roundtable, He proposed that higher educational institutes shall conduct international exchange and cooperation on an equal footing, with a calm mindset and in steady process, which was widely recognized by the guests present.

CACIE, hosted by the China Education Association for International Exchange of the Ministry of Education, is an annual event for the education community both at home and abroad starting from 2000. Themed on New Opportunities for High-quality Educational System, CACIE 2021 invites heads of government organs, international educational organizations, top-class universities and domestic leading enterprises to discuss the new opportunities and challenges for educational opening up, find new path of the connotative high-quality development and jointly create a new layout for the opening-up of education.
