Recently, Jiangsu Provincial Ministry of Education has released a “Notice on Pilot Programs in Jiangsu Provincial Modern Vocational Education System in 2014” and WXIT has got eight programs. Among them, there are four bachelor-degree joint programs with partner universities, two “3+2” mode of higher vocational education with divisions of vocational colleges and universities, and two “3+2” mode of vocational education with divisions of vocational schools and vocational colleges.

In addition to the previous two four-year degree joint programs with Jiangsu University such as Engineering of Internet of Things and Mechanical Design Manufacture and Automation, there will be other four bachelor joint programs approved to cooperate with Jiangsu University in 2014. They are Electrical Engineering and Automation, Marketing, Mechanical and Electronic Engineering, and Software Engineering. Therefore, currently, WXIT have altogether six bachelor degree joint programs on WXIT campus by cooperating with universities.

Moreover, there are two new “3+2” higher vocational education mode programs by cooperating with two partner universities. They are the program Automotive Testing and Maintenance Technology, in which students will study at WXIT for three years for diploma and have two-year study at Jiangsu Institute of Technology, and the program of “Accounting” which will offer three-year education at WXIT and two-year study at Changzhou University.
