On July 21, the Annual Conference of Jiangsu Higher Education Society Foreign Management Research Institute (the former Foreign Cultural and Educational Expert Work Research Institute) was held by Jiangsu University in Zhenjiang city. He Xingchu, chief of international cooperation and exchange division of Jiangsu Provincial Education Department, Yang Xiaoping, Director of Jiangsu Bureau of Foreign Experts Affairs, and Wu Libao, secretary general of Jiangsu Higher Education Society attended the conference and delivered speeches. Representatives from 67 colleges and universities participated in the annual conference. Colleges and universities with outstanding achievements in the management of foreign cultural and educational experts in Jiangsu were awarded. WXIT was granted the 2020 Jiangsu Model Unit in the Management of Foreign Cultural and Educational Experts, marking the 4^th time consecutively, which fully demonstrated the high level and capacity of WXIT in foreign-related management.

At the conference, the work on foreign affairs management in 2020 was summarized and targes and plans for 2021 were formulated. It is discussed at the conference that more efforts shall be paid in introducing foreign experts and talents, management of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan affairs, management of the overseas stationing of teachers, and ideology education shall be improved. All colleges and universities shall coordinate with each other, and work out new ways to adapt themselves to the new dynamics in foreign affairs. Discussions were held on the challenges and opportunities for international exchanges in the stage of regular epidemic prevention and control, and pointed out a direction for international exchange and cooperation among colleges and universities in the 14^th Five-year Plan period.

In recent years, WXIT has been incorporating foreign affairs management into the modernization drive of management system and capacity building of higher educational institutes. Pivoting around the management and service for foreign cultural and educational experts, WXIT continues to enhance the efficiency of hiring foreign experts, so as to contribute to the high-quality development of sino-foreign joint school projects with non-independent legal person status, sino-foreign joint school projects, overseas students’ education, and international science research cooperation. WXIT continues to enhance its internationalized level in education and provides strong support to the building of national high-level higher vocational colleges and disciplines with Chinese characteristics.
