In order to implement the spirit of General Secretary Jinping’s important instructions on the opening-up policy of education to the outside world, to comprehensively summarize the achievements of education and foreign affairs in Jiangsu Province since the 13th five-year plan, and to analyze the new situation and tasks faced by education and foreign affairs，from October 26th to 27th，the Education Foreign Affairs Working Conference was held in Nanjing. Fang Jun, Deputy Director of the International Cooperation and Exchange Department of the Ministry of Education, Ge Daokai, Director of Jiangsu Education Department, and Wang Chengbin, Deputy Director of Jiangsu Education Department, attended the meeting and delivered speeches. Around 400 people from colleges and universities in Jiangsu Province and Departments of Education Foreign Affairs in Bureaus of Education attended the meeting. At the meeting, the letters of appointment were also issued to the members of the Education Opening-up Expert Steering Committee of Jiangsu Province.

On behalf of higher vocational colleges, President Gong Fanghong made a key speech, proposing that WXIT had been deepening the policy of college-enterprise international cooperation, optimizing the vocational education output and realizing connotative development by the means of improving cooperation, upgrading modes, enhancing the education levels and improving the capacity in the process of fighting for the “Double High Construction.

The conference of the education and foreign affairs in Jiangsu Province has strengthened our belief in the continued deepening of the national education opening-up policy for our school, boosting the spirit of carrying out the work of the education and foreign affairs in the pandemic, and contributing to the new target direction of the internationalization education and the “Double High Construction during the 14th Five-Year Plan period. WXIT will continue to adhere to the international development of education with its own characteristics and strive to be a pioneer among vocational colleges in China with the opening-up policy from a higher starting point.
