On 17th October,2019, WXIT celebrated its 60th anniversary and its remarkable progress from a technical college to the top 4th higher vocational college in China, beginning from 1959 to 2019. A special logo has been developed to commemorate this ceremony.

The Cerebration included conference, lectures, exhibitions as well as amazing performance which was made by WXIT alumnus, current students as well as International students showing audiences the past stories, special events, and future development of WXIT. “We have a great deal to celebrate as we have made a lot of accomplishments in the past 60 years, and we will continue to grow and expand to meet challenging future together with all the faculties. ” said by WXIT President Professor Gong Fang hong.

Faculty members and old alumni were also involved in this ceremony. “It is important for us to acknowledge this milestone in our history. We have come a long way from the beginning until now. The word has changed and we have changed with it.” said by one of the old alumni. “We want everyone involved-from our earliest alumni to our incoming freshman class.” said by WXIT Party Secretary Professor Zhu Ai sheng.

The 60th anniversary celebration also focused on the development of International education. WXIT International programs as well as International students from 30 countries provided a global vision for our growth and transformation. We hoped to see the dynamic development of WXIT on the world stage.  

Through 60 years, the core values, mission and pioneering spirit of WXIT has never changed. All the faculties of WXIT were passionately committed to Intellectual exchange, technical innovation as well as service to others forever.
